What exactly is custom embroidery digitizing?

What graphic design file formats do you accept?
We accept a wide range of visual assets to begin the process. For the most accurate translation of brand identity, we prefer high-resolution vector artwork (such as AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF). However, our digitizers can also work with high-quality raster image files (PNG, JPEG) or clear photographs of existing patches and apparel graphics.
What machine file formats will I receive?
We provide production-ready files compatible with all major commercial and industrial embroidery machines. The industry standard is DST, but we can also deliver PES, EXP, HUS, JEF, and other formats upon request. Every finalized file is delivered alongside a digital proof and a comprehensive color sequence run sheet for machine operators.

Yes, though thread has physical limitations compared to print or digital graphic design. Why do you need to know what garment type the design is for?
Different fabrics react differently to the tension of thousands of stitches. A design digitized for a rigid, structured cap will severely pucker and distort if stitched onto a stretchy polo shirt or lightweight t-shirt. We specifically optimize the underlay, push/pull compensation, and stitch density for the exact textile to ensure flawless results and eliminate fabric warping.
When should I choose 3D Puff over Flat/Standard digitizing?
Flat/Standard digitizing creates a smooth, 2D finish that is perfect for intricate details, corporate logos, and crisp text on jackets and shirts. 3D Puff should be chosen when you want a bold, raised, tactile element in the design. Because it requires stitching over embroidery foam, 3D Puff is best suited for thick, simple typography and large shapes, commonly used on baseball caps and varsity apparel.
How quickly can I get my artwork digitized and ready for the machines?
We understand that commercial decorators and production floors cannot afford delays. Most standard corporate logos and left-chest graphics are digitized, quality-checked, and returned within 12 to 24 hours.
